The Tech in Woodworking Group - "Dedicated to the Art of Technology in Woodworking"
A Group For All Levels of Technology Users
Founded in September 2024, the Long Island Technology Group is a special interest group of the Long Island Woodworkers and all members of the group have to also belong to the Long Island Woodworkers. Group members share a common interest in technology in woodworking.
Membership is open to persons of all skill levels, from beginners to professional. Meeting dates, times and locations will vary depending on equipment needed for presentations.
A Group With A Variety Of Activities
The Long Island Tech group objectives are the same as those of it's parent organization, the Long Island Woodworkers. The group focuses on making modern technology accessible to everyone.
Meetings feature members who share their expertise with software as well as machine use.
Topics covered will included: Inkscape design software, laser engraving/cutting, CNC carving/cutting.
In addition to monthly meetings and demonstrations, we offer a wealth of new friendships.
