A Group for All Levels of Scrollsawing
Founded on September 23, 2004, the Long Island Scrollsaw Association is a special-interest group of the Long Island Woodworkers. All members of L.I.S.A. must also be members of the Long Island Woodworkers. L.I.S.A. members share a common interest in scrolling.
Membership is open to persons of all skill levels, from beginners to professionals.
A Group with a Variety of Activities
The Long Island Scrollsaw Association's objectives are the same as those of its parent organization, the Long Island Woodworkers. L.I.S.A focuses on making scrolling accessible to everyone.
Meetings feature lectures by Club Members, and many are hands-on. We also have a Toys for Tots toy-making meeting each year. If you are new to the scroll saw or very experienced with it, this is the place to be. Everyone shares their knowledge.
Topics covered have included fretwork, intarsia, segmentation, clock making, inlays, picture frames, and all aspects of scrolling.
In addition to monthly meetings and demonstrations, we offer a wealth of new friendships.
