A Group for All Levels of Technology Users
Founded in September 2024, the Long Island Technology Group is a special interest group of the Long Island Woodworkers. All members of the group must also be members of the Long Island Woodworkers. Group members share a common interest in technology in woodworking.
Membership is open to persons of all skill levels, from beginners to professionals. Meeting dates, times, and locations will vary depending on equipment needed for presentations.
A Group with a Variety of Activities
The Long Island Tech group's objectives are the same as those of its parent organization, the Long Island Woodworkers. The group focuses on making modern technology accessible to everyone.
Meetings feature members who share their expertise in software and machine use.
Topics covered include: Inkscape design software, laser engraving/cutting, and CNC carving/cutting.
In addition to monthly meetings and demonstrations, we offer a wealth of new friendships.
