Bob, I always got my bearings at Jamaica bearings although I haven’t been there in a long while they might still be around. Very helpful and they have every bearing known to man.

Joe, I really like Poplar as well. There’s nothing wrong with it and yet most people stay away from it. I made most of the moldings in my house from Poplar. It takes paint really well and I often use it as a secondary wood in my furniture.

Cherry, the patina that develops makes you want to reach out and touch it..Burns easily but you learn to speed it up a bit when it’s going through the saw…

The juxtaposition of the pieces merely signify possession of time and space amplitude. Merely suggesting the interval of wood vs metal would be changing the piece from one to another.

There’s an article in today’s NY Times, I didn’t realize the article would not appear but the picture gives you the idea. It’s a Donald Judd exhibit at MOMA although MOMA’s doors are shut for now.

Bill, Bethpage seemed to be having $ issues. No tram this year and the locking of the gates were a problem for people and I’m sure it would be worse next year… The board apparently thought this out very well so it sounds good to me…Thanks to all of you for the hard work..
