    The bad news, and then maybe not so bad news. Hock Tools were sold. That’s the bad news; I’ve loved and been happy with their plane and spokeshave blades, as well as their honing steel. The not so bad news: Lee Valley was the buyer. I hate losing a high end small tool dealer, but at least they are going to a high end moderate size tool dealer.

    I don’t know how old the news is, but I just read it.

    Wow! Thanks for sharing that. I agree, not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. If LV keeps the processes and quality but increases production, it can be a very good thing. But if they were just buying up the competition to remove them from the market, very bad thing. I personally have several Hock blades and chip breakers and love their performance. It would be a shame to lose that option.
