    Plywood shelves that qualify as art? They’d have to be because you can’t store anything on most of them.

    There’s an article in today’s NY Times, I didn’t realize the article would not appear but the picture gives you the idea. It’s a Donald Judd exhibit at MOMA although MOMA’s doors are shut for now.

    Hey Charlie, maybe these aren’t shelves but a real fancy laundry basket. It appears the dirty clothes will gently fall to the rear of the carcass awaiting pickup. The smaller openings above the “shelves” are ventilation slots. See, now it has a purpose.

    Perhaps they signify the pointlessness of storage in an online society, representing Man’s inhumanity to Man.That all things we have are ephemeral, and the only constant we have is the need for laundry. There is a reason Mr. Bottigliere is our art critic in residence (well, we are all in residence now).

    The juxtaposition of the pieces merely signify possession of time and space amplitude. Merely suggesting the interval of wood vs metal would be changing the piece from one to another.
