    I am looking for an empty 55 gallon steel drum with removable lid for converting to a barrel stove.
    If anyone knows of a source on Long Island, please let me know.

    I would check out Craigslist or LetGo.Those kind of things are always on there.

    A stove? Likely story. He may be using the drum for other things:

    A percussion instrument
    A bbq to fry sausage and peppers. A stand at the San Gennaro feast
    A bobbing for apples rig for Halloween
    A new way to dry wood
    A way of getting things out to a submarine off Jones beach
    A wine holding device. (He is not Italian)
    A collaboration with Charlie J. Secret compartments.
    A giant piggy bank for loose change
